ABOUT RAIMUNDO…
Raimundo captured the attention of casting director Moira Miller, who would invite him to form part of a select group of young actors to be the new faces of Televisión Nacional (TVN). He had appearances on popular shows such as 'El Amor lo Manejo Yo' and 'Somos los Carmonas'. His interest in Russian theater led him to decline all his future projects and in 2014 he traveled to Moscow to one of the biggest camps in Russia, the International Summer Theatre School STD, with elite pedagogues and directors such as Veniamin Filshtinskiy, Dmitry Brusnikin, Yevgeny Ibragimov, Serguéi Bezrúkov, Sergey Zhenovach, just to name a few. That is where he met the Malaya Bronnaya Theater director, Sergey Anatolevich Golomazov, who after seeing him on stage would convince Raimundo to study under his tutelage in one of the most prestigious theater universities in Russia, the Russian Institute of Theatre Arts «GITIS».
Raimundo was the first foreigner to obtain a complete scholarship paid by the Russian government and graduated with honors.
Mostly known for plays such as “A Midsummer Night's Dream” directed by Ramune Khodorkayte, “The Philistines Attempt to Read” directed by the very own Sergey A. Golomazov and winner of the ТВОЙ ШАНС y Vivat Theater Festivals. Raimundo is currently settled down in Madrid, Spain.
He's an actor born in California that spent most of his childhood in Chile. He began his acting formation in the Teatro Imagen Academy in Santiago, Chile. Simultaneously, he took several important workshops such as Alba Emoting (Paula Zúñiga), Theatrical Anthropology (Carolina Pizarro Velásquez) among others. During his last year, he was invited by director Gustavo Meza (National Prize for Performing and Audiovisual Arts) to participate in the play 'Hamlet', adapted by the poet Raúl Zurita (Chilean National Prize for Literature), which obtained several acknowledgments and was nominated to the Altazor awards.
